Stage 3, Weissenstein - Balsthal
The new section starts at Weissenstein and is part of the SchweizMobil mountainbike route 44 Chasseral - Weissenstein. The varied tour offers fantastic views and a wide variety of trail-types. It leads over exciting single trails in the forest, wider ascending forest paths and on hiking trails over pastures and meadows.
From the cable car station at Weissenstein, the route first leads through the forest into the valley, past the Schafmatthof, where the ascent to the second Jura chain starts. Along the well-known dry stone wall on the Probstenberg, you continue the tour by passing the mountain restaurants Hinter Brandberg, Obere Tannmatt and Güggel. The descent on single trails starts at Stierenberg on 1076 m.a.s.l. and leads you via Bergwirtschaft Bremgarten and Höngen to Balsthal.
